Chef Thomas has been an avid cook his entire life. He proudly served in the US Army, as an E-4 Food Service Specialist. After the military, he attended the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. Chef Thomas is a Certified Executive Chef, and has worked for the Hyatt Corporation, the PGA Tour, and Corporate Clubs of America. When he isn't serving up his vision at the Main Street Bistro, Chef Thomas enjoys spending time with his family and playing softball. He has a lovely wife Coliesta, 4 beautiful daughters, two son-in-laws, and two handsome grandsons that take after their Grandpa.
With a chef in the family, food is very close to the heart. As a local, family-owned and operated restaurant we make sure that love for our neighborhood and our passion for food goes into every bite. As we say in our family "if you love someone tell them with food". We aim to share that love with historic Monroe, NC by carefully crafting delicious and locally sourced dishes to our neighborhood, and our guests. APOTEK PHARMACY was founded by Ed & Mary, a husband and wife team that like many of us, grew disillusioned and tired of the terrible service & unaffordable medication prices other well established, bigger pharmacies were giving their patients. They noticed the needlessly long waits to fill prescriptions & the awful customer service the big pharmacies provide their patients. Sadden by the unacceptable and poor treatment towards patients, Ed & Mary knew that it was not difficult to treat people with respect and dignity.
And so, the journey begins! Ed & Mary set out to open their own pharmacy. A Pharmacy where patients will not be treated as a number and would be part of the family. Operation Save Marketplace is a gently used secondhand, thrift store located in Marshville, NC. All proceeds from the store go directly back to our 501c3 ministry, Operation Save. We have men, women and children's clothing, shoes and accessories. We have recently expanded and purchased the unit next door. Our expansion has large furniture, appliances and home decor. Our prices are low and our quality is exceptional!
We accept donations during store hours (drop off only). Please make sure your donations are gently used meaning no holes or stains. We appreciate your donations greatly.
