Uptown Tea Shop specializes in premium loose leaf teas from around the world. We carry over 150 different premium teas, including Organic, Black, Green, White, Oolong, Rooibos, Herbal/Tisane, Connoisseur, Caffeine Free, and Decaffeinated teas. We have sample jars of all our teas, making it easy for customers to browse our tea selections and see and smell them.
Should there be a tea you would like to try including our special House Blend Chai, we are always happy to brew you a fresh hot or iced To-Go cup. Enjoy our teas while you stroll through the adjoining art gallery, or relax on one of the rocking chairs on our covered front porch. Our knowledgeable staff is always ready to help and answer questions.
We also carry all the accessories to help you make a perfect cup of tea, including teapots, strainers, tea bags, mugs, and travel mugs.
We have partnered with local businesses to offer a variety of fun events each month. Seating is limited. Information and dates can be found on our website.
Our High Tea events are a must-do experience for all tea lovers! Seated at a beautifully set table with the artwork of Eight Legs Gallery artists as your backdrop. The menu includes three-tiered serving trays loaded with an assortment of delectable fares and your choice of tea.
Our Tea Tasting events are a fun and informative way to discover and sample a variety of our teas. We offer a variety of Art and Tea and classes, from Fused Glass and Clay Hand-Sculpting to Painting.
I can't say enough good things about this shop! First time visiting and the selection is amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great prices, too! Also, the quality of the tea is wonderful. I have also ordered tea from their online store on several occasions and I received it quickly. Please make sure to stop in, you won't be disappointed!
We enjoyed a beautiful high tea for my friend's birthday. The staff was friendly and informative. I had the berrylicious green tea with too many sweets to count. This was a nice drive away from Charlotte.

Do you enjoy drinking delicious things? If so, you must stop by this tea shop! There's such a huge variety of teas to choose from. You can smell them all and choose what speaks to you. The owner is very nice and so knowledgeable. The shop is beautiful and artsy and clean. You won't regret supporting this gem of a locally owned business! Now for the crown jewel of the whole place... Order Dani's fresh chai! I didn't even like chai until I tried hers. I'm not sure what kind of magic is brewed in this cup of comforting hot joy but it's one of it best things I've ever had to drink! Trust me...go.get.the.chai!
